JOB SUMMARY
The Communications Manager will lead strategic communications efforts to elevate our brand, enhance
internal and external engagement, and support organizational priorities through high-quality, consistent
messaging. This role manages the creation and distribution of content across channels and ensures
cohesive storytelling aligned with the organization’s mission and values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies for internal and external
- audiences.
- Create and manage content for newsletters, press releases, reports, social media, website, and
- marketing collateral.
- Coordinates media relations, including pitching stories and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to execute communications strategies.
- Monitor communication metrics and adjust strategies based on performance data.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications and platforms.
- Assist in managing freelance writers, graphic designers, or other vendors as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/JOB KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing,
- or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Media relations, or public affairs.
- Prior work experience in a non-profit atmosphere is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience developing multi-channel communications strategies.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Constantly moves about to coordinate work.
- Routinely works in a fast-paced environment with multiple task deadlines.
- Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Proficiency with content management systems, email platforms, and social media tools.
- Familiarity with branding and messaging strategy.
- Knowledge of media tracking and analytics platforms.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
- Aptitude to learn other software programs as required for this position.
EMPLOYMENT VARIABLES
- Must have a good driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Hybrid Work Environment – Primarily remote for daily operations, with in-person attendance required for events as needed.
